Found registry entries can be grouped by filter with various criteria.
To activate filter simply select the View by Filter option above the list of found results. You will see two items at the left side of the window: Passed filter and Not passed filter.
To view current filter options or define them click on the Show Filter button.
Found registry keys can be filtered using these details:
Root key.
It has three defined root keys: HKEY_LOCAL_NACHINE, HKEY_USERS and HKEY_CURRENT_USER;
All registry keys RFA may scan are under these three root keys.
Key path.
It may contain a complete or partial name of a registry key that is a part of path.
For example if you enter "device" in this option, you will see entries such as:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Microsoft Input Devices\..
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microdevice International\..
Value name.
It may contain a complete or partial name of a registry value.
Value data.
Here you can enter a string that a registry value may contain.
Error category.
This field may contain any error category RFA may scan for.
Risk level.
Use this option to select Safe, Caution or Extreme Caution registry entries.
Availability for changes.
If this option is selected, no read-only entries will pass through filter.
You may see them in the Not passed filter group.
With version 10 filter templates are introduced. Any filter set can be saved for future using. All templates are stored in Registry First Aid settings folder, for example: C:\ProgramData\Registry First Aid
