Command line parameters

Registry First Aid supports several command-line parameters that can be used to automate the program tasks.

Using:
reg1aid.exe /parameter
or
RFA_start.exe /parameter
For example, to always start Registry First Aid with maximized window add the /fullscreen parameter to the shortcut command - open Properties of Registry First Aid shorcut, click the Shortcut tab and add the parameter so it may look like this:
"C:\Program Files\RFA 9\RFA_start.exe" /fullscreen
then click OK to commit.

Please note that Registry First Aid also remembers last used window size, so if it was maximized by double-click over the caption or from the window system menu, then on next start it will open with the same position and size.

Available parameters are listed below:
/autoscan automatically starts the registry scan. The program will scan for registry errors selected in a previous run. If a full registry backup is needed and the system does not support automatic creation of registry backups, then full registry backup will not be created.
/fullrestore starts full registry restore.
/fullbackup creates full registry backup.
/compactregistry starts registry compaction. Available only under Windows® 98/ME. Obsolete since version 4.3.1.
/regdefrag starts the program and opens the Compress Registry page.
/regmanage starts the program at the page Manage Registry.
/regscan starts the program at the page Select the Registry Errors to Scan. Scan is not launched.
/regsearch starts the program at the page Enter Keywords to Search in the Registry.
/restwizard starts the program and opens the Restore Registry from .reg Backup Files page.
/regsnapwizard starts the program and opens the Create/Compare Registry Snapshots page.
/fullscreen starts the program with maximized window.
